Welcome to BENCIL Speaks!!

Hi visitors & friends,

I have been hoping to blog for a very long time but did not manage to move beyond Facebook updates.

Thanks to my college alumna, Disha Jeswani for prompting me to share my work & experiences in the field of Technology Transfer & Licensing which has led to the birth of BENCIL Speaks!!

You must be wondering, why BENCIL??

BENCIL is an acronym for Bulb & pENCIL which is when somebody who thinks of a new idea tries to put it on paper and has the Eureka moment!!

I even commissioned a cartoon illustrator to create BENCIL character and eventually hope to use it as the symbol of "Innovation in Action" - dynamic, moving places in the journey from lab to market and ultimately benefiting YOU and me.

My blog will broadly try to capture the stories, challenges, triumphs and tribulations in the lab to market journey from all the stakeholders especially the Inventor aka Innovator.

I have been closely working with number of Inventors to help them realise their multi-year dream of seeing their product & technology in the market place through partnerships with Entrepreneurs & Industry.

My quest is to demystify the process and learn from all of you with different perspective & background so that the journey can be made more predictable and successful!!

I am a qualified Patent Attorney, Marketing & Engineering graduate from Bombay (never liked the renaming to Mumbai), India.

Love to run marathons, read anything apart from fiction and watching meaningful movies.
